KUALA LUMPUR - Umno former youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin admits to receiving a plethora of offers following the Umno cleanse from not only political parties but also academic, sales, and corporate entities as well.

The former Rembau member of parliament (MP) stated he has yet to finalise any decisions.

Using football as an analogy, he added that he is free to make any decisions and is still assessing which "club" best suits him.

"Yes, I have received several offers from political, academic, sales, and corporate entities.

"But I have not decided on anything yet. As everyone knows, I like football, and I am free to change my direction based on the "club." I'm weighing my options and opportunities to move forward.

"This is not a simple or easy decision to take that could be changed at will," he said during "The Breakfast Grille" show on BFM radio on Monday.

Adding further, Khairy also said he was not opposed to the idea of contesting in the coming state election.

"After 23 years of service for the party, it is difficult to think about starting something new.

"It's difficult to forget my service in politics. I did not leave (Umno), I was 'kicked out' of it.

"I need to be realistic and choose carefully," he said.

When asked about the criteria he looked for in another political party, Khairy noted that it must align with his vision for the country, which is inclusive, progressive, and tied to a good administration.
