Umno purge: Wait for the next session, says Zahid

PUTRAJAYA - Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi remains tight-lipped regarding the dismissal of two party members and the suspension of four others in the party's total purge.

When pressed by reporters at the Quran Personality Council here on Monday, Zahid, who is also the deputy prime minister, said; "Wait, in the next session."

He was previously asked on the dismissal of former Umno Youth Chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, and former Umno Selangor Chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar.

Last Friday, the supreme council meeting also decided that several other leaders, including Sembrong MP who is also a former vice president, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and former Information Chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan were suspended from the party for six years.
