Who else besides Nurul Izzah appointed in Putrajaya? Bersatu asks Anwar

SHAH ALAM - Bersatu man has asked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to explain the reason for appointing Nurul Izzah as the country's senior economic and finance.

Its information chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan said Anwar may have been lying not only to Malaysians but also Pakatan Harapan supporters on the appointment.

Wan Saiful, the Tasek Gelugor MP further said the appointment smells of nepotism.

“In fact, Malaysia is a country rich in diversity and has produced many of the country's most famous economic and financial experts. We have Malay children, Chinese children, Indian children, Kadazan children, Iban children and many more.

“But apparently the chosen one is Anwar's daughter,” he said in a statement.

He further demanded Anwar to immediately explain the reason for appointing Nurul Izzah.

“No matter if she receives salary or not, he (Anwar) needs to explain why this appointment was kept secret.” Wan Saiful added.

Wan Saiful also urged Anwar to state other "secret" appointments after failing to announce on Nurul Izzah's appointment.

It was reported on Sunday that Nurul Izzah has been appointed as a Senior Economic and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Through her interview with The Star, the former Permatang Pauh MP said that her appointment effectively started on Jan 3.
