JOHOR BAHRU - Johor Umno Youth is confident that there is still room and opportunity for the sacked members to return to Umno.

Its chief Mohd Hairi Md Shah said the termination was a normal occurrence for any parties, especially when there were issues that involved the party president.

He hoped the situation could be rectified and the members would return to the party.

“In my opinion, whether people agree or disagree, this situation is actually normal within a party.

“Even Azmin (Ali), Hussam Musa and Mat Sabu were sacked for voicing out different opinions towards their respective party presidents.

“If I was the president, in the future, and was constantly pushed around and prevented to do good and rejuvenate the party, I might act the same way.

“I hope understanding can be rebuilt. To the members who were sacked, I hope the party’s grassroots would call them back (to join the party).

“Consider it as a lesson for every party, that not everyone can attack the president as one pleases.
