Johor Pejuang announces MPN members for 2023-2024 session

JOHOR BAHRU -Johor Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) announced the list of new State Leadership Council (MPN) committee members for the 2023–2024 session.

Johor Pejuang secretary Dr Zaini Abu Bakar said the members were decided in the first MPN Committee Members meeting on Jan 29.

He said Pejuang president Nornekman Osmain and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir who was appointed as the new Johor Pejuang Chief, last Jan 5, announced the new MPN Committee Members list.

"Johor Pejuang's deputy chief and treasurer positions are vacant and will be filled in the near future. For this new session, Zaini Abu Bakar was appointed as secretary, along with Mohd Azmin Ali (information chief), Zalihah Jaafar (Pejuanita chief); Riad Ahmad (Pejuang Youth chief), and Nurfatimah Ibrahim (Pejuanita Youth leader), he added.

Meanwhile, Tariq Ismail Mustafa; Azrif Abdul Rashid; Nizam Bashir Abdul Kariem Bashir; Dr Sazali Aripin; Dr Khairil Anwar Razali; Mohd Shukor Ahmad; Talib Md Suhut; Ahmade Mohd Din and Zamzam Hashim were appointed as MPN members.

"Also named MPN members were Fazli Arman; Zainuddin Adam; Wan Sharani Wan Abdul Jalil; Razali Mohd Bahar; Mohamad Azhar Tawil; Suraya Sulaiman; Mohamad Eddy Hafifi Chua; Suriyana and Mohamad," he said in a statement on Thursday.

He said Nornekman expressed his gratitude to former Johor Pejuang chief Datuk Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh and his leaderships for their services before.

Apart from announcing the list, Nornekman also declared Johor Pejuang will be restructured by removing the Parliamentary Coordinator position.

"Although Johor Pejuang members who are currently 5,000 member, will further shrink from the structuring.

"It is actually better to have quality members who care about supporting the party's goals.Nornekman also emphasised that Johor Pejuang will play an active role to fight for the people and become the community's eyes and ears and also voice out issues pertaining to people's prosperity and wellbeing," he said.

He added that a training program to strengthen the party and its comradeship will be conducted.

Nornekman also welcomes Malays who are confident in the party's direction, which are to defend the purity of Islam, the nation's dignity and the country's sovereignty, to join Pejuang.
