The 28-year old United States-born striker joins Kelantan United after a season in the Cambodian League, having made six appearances for Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC.
Kelantan United chief operating officer Wan Mohd Zul Ikman said Porteria fills the quota for Asean players in their squad.
"Porteria is our fourth foreign player for this season. He joins Ernist Batyrknov (Kyrgyzstan), Yan Victor (Brazil) and Morgaro Gomis (Senegal)," he said.
Wan Mohd Zul said Porteria, who began his career with Major League Soccer (MLS) club DC United was a versatile forward, capable of playing as both a left or right winger.
He added that Porteria was slected based on his performances in over 90 matches in leagues in the Philippines and Thailand, as well as the AFC Cup and AFC Champions League.
"He has scored 40 goals and made 22 assists with the Philippines national team and has been a regular since 2012. The experience and capability of this players should not be questioned," said Wan Mohd Zul.- BERNAMA
