PETALING JAYA - Pakatan Harapan had 31 per cent of Malay voters during 15th General Election (GE15), says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“Before that, there was a rumour that Pakatan Harapan (PH) only had19 per cent of the Malay votes during GE 15.

“If this happened, how would we be able to get the total number of seats in GE 15?”, he questioned.

During a press conference at PKR headquarters today, Anwar said PH got the least amount of voters from Kelantan and Terengganu, the stronghold of rival coalition Perikatan Nasional’s Islamist party Pas.

“However, we (PH) reached 50 per cent voters in Penang, Selangor and Federal Territories,” he stressed.

Anwar also said the unity government had majority of votes from voters.

“We reached two thrids of the total voters in Malaysia from components of the unity government party such as PH, BN (Barisan Nasional), GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak).

“We believe that this will be able to drive Malaysia's economic stability”, he further said.
