Wanita Umno sends condolences to Turkey-Syria earthquake victims

SHAH ALAM - Wanita Umno today offered condolences to the families and communities in Turkey and Syria impacted by the devastating earthquake that struck the region yesterday.

Its chief Datuk Seri Noraini Ahmad said to help with the relief recovery efforts, Malaysia has sent Malaysia Emergency Response Team (SMART) to assist in the rescue of victims.

“I have no doubt that they will try their best to support the rescue efforts. I urge all of us, in Malaysia and all around the world, to come together in solidarity and offer their support to those affected by this disaster,” she said in a statement.

The Parit Sulong member of parliament also expressed her gratitude to the rescue personnel and volunteers who are putting their own lives in danger to aid those in need.

“Their initiatives are incredibly motivating and display the best qualities of humanity in the face of difficulty.
