SHAH ALAM - The government will implement a non-stop toll collection system as a new alternative to overcome traffic congestion.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad said: the technology could solve traffic congestion issues at toll plazas at Gombak toll and the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (Duke).

“I would like to thank the highway department for today’s briefing,” he said on his Twitter on Tuesday.

Rahman said the introduction of the new system will not involve additional cost for users nor an increase in toll rates on highways.

“The ministry through the Malaysian Highway Board (LLM) have analysed the best methods for the implementation,” he added.
