SHAH ALAM - Sinar Daily which has just turned one year old, bagged its first award at the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health Awards (MSOH Award) for its 'Sick Building Syndrome' report.

The three series of report namely 'Sick Building Syndrome: Victims taken lightly', 'Sick Building Syndrome: Do you have any of these symptoms?' and 'Sick Building Syndrome: Could be the reason for your headaches at work," won first place under the Print Media and News Portal category.

This was the first special report published on Jan 1, 2022, which was also the first day that the Sinar Daily newsportal officially went live.

Its recipient, Siti Nur Fatihah Pirdaus, 24, expressed her gratitude to the Sinar Daily team and the editors who made the impossible possible and guided her through when she was only a rookie journalist.

Fatihah also hopes that the MSOH award will be the beginning of many more awards in the future.

"This is a surreal moment for us since this was our first special report in Sinar Daily, so we didn't really have high expectations on this.

"I would like to thank my editors, Tasnim Lokman (Sinar Daily Editor) and Syahirah Mokhtazar (Sinar Daily Editor), who guided me from the early days.

"We came up with something good that won us the award. I wish all the best to all my comrades; go and get more awards for Sinar Daily," she said after receiving the award at the Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
