90 per cent Malaysian couples feel satisfied with their relationships, survey finds

Oh to love and to be loved, there’s no better feeling!

Malaysians would agree as it has been revealed in a survey that 90 per cent of Malaysian couples feel pretty satisfied with their romantic relationships.

The survey, by Ipsos’s Global Love Life Satisfaction, found that 80 per cent of Malaysians are also satisfied with feeling loved while 57 per cent say they are satisfied with their romantic or sex life.

Malaysia joins other countries such as Indonesia (94 per cent), Netherland (94per cent), and Thailand (90 per cent) with couples feeling satisfied with their spouse or partner.

Across the 32 countries surveyed, about 76 per cent say they are somewhat satisfied with how much they feel loved while 21 per cent say they are not.

Sadly, love doesn’t conquer all. In countries like South Korea only 53 per cent feel loved, while Japan stands at 49 per cent.

In the same two countries, South Korea (73 per cent) and Japan (70 per cent) were least likely to feel satisfied with their partner or spouse.

The survey also revealed that those from high-income households and with higher education are slightly more likely to be satisfied with their partner or spouse, compared to those from middle to low-income households, and those with middle or lower-level education.

It also showed no significant difference in how satisfied men and women are in their love life - both are nearly equal when it comes to feeling satisfied with their spouse, with their sex life, and how much they feel loved.
