Spanish Cifu arrives to bolster Kelantan FC defence

KOTA BHARU - Experienced Spaniard Miguel Ángel Garrido Cifuentes or better known as 'Cifu' is Kelantan FC's sixth foreign player ahead of the new Malaysian Super League (MSL) season which begins on Feb 24.
Kelantan FC confirmed in a statement today that the 32-year-old former Malaga FC and Elche player had signed season-long contract and brings a wealth of experience, having featured in the Spanish top flight La Liga, and is expected to boost the former MSL champions' defence.
"Miguel Angel will undergo training with the team to adapt to the lineup and we hope that his experience of playing in Spain and Europe can have a big impact on Kelantan FC this season," said the statement.
Cifu joined Kim Ming Kyu of South Korea, Christian Mangaron Rontini of the Philippines, Kang Eui Chan of South Korea, compatriot Mario Arques and Nuha Marong Krubally of Gambia in Kelantan FC's foreign legion this season. - BERNAMA
