Renowned Islamic preacher Ahmad Sharizal dies

LABUAN - A prominent Islamic preacher Ahmad Sharizal Mohd Saffian, died at the Gleneagles Hospital in Kota Kinabalu at about 12.10am today at the age of 43.

The sad news was confirmed by his close aid and relatives early morning today. He leaves behind wife Marziawati Mardan and 12-year-old son Ahmad Furqan.

Ahmad Sharizal, a senior manager at the Pusat Pungutan Zakat Labuan and the founder of Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Al Badr was previously treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Gleneagles Hospital for heart complications.

Ahmad Sharizal Ali gained prominence after appearing in various Islamic preaching-related forums, social media platforms, television and radio programmes. He was widely known for his peaceful Islamic teachings.

Meanwhile, netizens began expressing their condolences and sharing the sad news about the passing of the preacher on Facebook and WhatsApp.
