SHAH ALAM - Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) is currently seeking confirmation on Batang Kali Assemblyman Harumaini Omar's dates of attendance at the Selangor State Assembly.

Its information chief, Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali said any further actions will be taken after receiving the confirmation.

"We just got word about this like everyone else.

"Pejuang has contacted him, and we are now seeking confirmation regarding the State Assembly meeting dates and the last date he attended the meeting.

"Once we have that confirmation, we will respond. There is no certainty yet about further actions as we are gathering the dates," he told Sinar Harian on Thursday.

It was previously reported Selangor State Assembly Speaker Ng Suee Lim had declared the vacancy of the Batang Kali state seat.

Ng said the decision was made after the Batang Kali assemblyman failed to attend the Selangor State Assembly meetings for six months without notice since July 28, 2022.

Ng said he will submit a notice of the seat’s vacancy to the Election Commission (EC) soon.
