KUALA LUMPUR - Health Ministry today expressed its appreciation to the Australian government for channelling RM9 million in funding for the country's COVID-19 programmes.

Its minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa, in a Facebook post today, said that the funding was channelled through the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Malaysia, the World Health Organisation (WHO) Malaysia and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.

"MOH welcomes cooperation, especially in the field of health research,” she said.

Earlier today, she received a courtesy call from Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, Dr Justin Lee, at the Parliament building, during a recess of the sitting.
