Malaysia’s public healthcare system has been stretched thin ever since the pandemic hit our shores.

While things are starting to go back to normal, our public healthcare system has not recovered as healthcare workers - instead they are even more overworked, understaffed, underpaid and operating in badly maintained facilities.

All these factors have greatly influenced their quality and capabilities to provide quality patient care.

In this first episode of Wacana English Podcast, Sinar Daily talks to Prof Dr Sharifa Ezat Wan Puteh, UKM Health Economy and Public Health Specialist about the urgency to solve the crisis soon before it is too late.
