KUALA LUMPUR - Declaring his record after 50 years in politics as clean and untarnished with no criminal charges ever laid against him, former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin claimed his innocence in the ongoing probe into irregularities in the disbursement and procurements under the Covid-19 Stimulus Package during his administration.

"It's been 50 years since I entered politics and I never once had a case of abuse of power and corruption against me," he told reporters after launching the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Charity Golf Foundation and blood donation campaign at the Mid Valley Megamall today.

"I stand by the law, I have my principles and I stick to the right ones. Do right and fear no man," he added.

He was commenting on allegations against him, including the RM300 million allegedly received by Bersatu and contracts handed out under certain programmes.

Muhyiddin has given his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in connection with investigations.

The Perikatan Nasional chairman had his statement recorded at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya on Feb 16.

He said his legal team is looking into taking legal action against all accusations thrown to him as the many insinuations against him were serious slander aimed at tarnishing his good name.

He also explained that his party has made police report regarding all fake allegations against him and Bersatu and he will let the police investigate further.
