Muhyiddin at Kuala Lumpur court to support Wan Saiful

KUALA LUMPUR - Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has arrived at the Sessions Court, here, this morning.

He was at the court to provide support to Bersatu information chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan who is facing charges on Jana Wibawaa, government run proect to empower Bumiputera contractors in the construction sector.

Saiful was seen arriving at 8.50am accompanied by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Another individual charged in the same case was a chief executive officer (CEO) who arrived 20 minutes earlier.

Also present were Perikatan Nasional (PN) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and Pas Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

Sinar on Monday reported the information chief of a political party with a Datuk position will be charged in Sessions Court, here, on Tuesday regarding the Jana Wibawa project.

The agency was reported arresting a CEO to aid in investigations for the same case.

Both individuals were arrested in the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya on Monday night before being brought to court for their indictment.

Sinar reported that several Letter of Acceptance (SST) were issued through a project under Jana Wibawa involving family members of key leaders of certain political parties.

Law Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said stated the MACC has yet to identify the true value of the project.
