KUALA LUMPUR - Only five out of 10 stars for the Unity Government’s revised Budget re-tabled in Dewan Rakyat today, says Perikatan Nasional Youth Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari.

He said the Prime Minister cum Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as being “too safe”.

He cited the Tambun MP’s determination to combat corruption but ignored major issues such as the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

"The prime minister did not say a single word about 1MDB that represented the source of leaks that happened (in the country).

"I think the prime minister is still trying to repeat the same issue of embezzlement and corruption," he said when asked about Budget 2023 today.

When asked whether the Opposition bloc will support the budget, the Pasir Mas MP said the decision on it will be decided next week.

"The opposition MPs will discuss and will state our stance next week," he said.

Budget 2023 witnessed the overall allocation of RM388.1 billion making it the highest in the country's history.
