IPOH - The unity government currently needs more time to prove their capabilities in implementing the policies that are planned.

Human Resource Minister V Sivakumar said the government currently is on the right track and needs time to now implement them.

“If we want to see a dramatic change immediately it is not simple, but what’s important is the government must be given more time to enable them to implement these policies.

“I do understand that the expectations from the public is too high but at the same time the government is on the right track to implement all the policies,” he told reporters during a work visit to the Perak Human Capital Development Centre (PHCDC) in Meru Raya City, here, on Sunday.

Its been 100 days since Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s unity government of Pakatan Harapan (PH), BN, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) was formed.

Sivakumar said the government through the Human Resource Ministry is committed to empower Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the country.

He said the direction of the government on TVET is to ensure there is no inequality between skills training institute graduates who are not accepted by the industry.

“We want to make sure that those trained under TVET programme have a high market value as the issue of inequality is often raised. Graduates produced that are not needed by the industry will cost resources in terms of finance, time and energy,” he said.
