Kim Kardashian received US$250,000 from gambling with Jho Low

International celebrity Kim Kardashian told United States (US) investigators that she once played baccarat gambling with money received from Jho Low and made a profit of about RM1,119,250 (US$250,000).

Citing a news portal report, Kim informed the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that she once gambled with a businessman wanted by the police.

According to the report, the first gambling session started with dinner and entertainment at a club.

She added that Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor's son Riza Aziz and the Wolf Of Wall Street movie producer Joey McFarland also attended the gambling session.

From the FBI's investigation documents, Kim informed that the group was in a private room at the casino, at 3am, to play baccarat.

"Kim didn't trust the Asian men who were with Jho Low as they kept on shouting 'Monkey' when they got lucky while playing.

"Kim had assumed Reza Aziz and McFarland were there with an elderly Asian man," the document stated.

The document was a summary of an interview by the US authorities with Kim.

The matter was presented by the prosecutor preparing for the Fugees band Prakazrel 'Pras' Michél's trial.

The news portal also stated that Michél was accused of money laundering and lobbying on behalf of Jho Low and the Chinese government.

According to the FBI report, Kim told the investigators that she wanted to leave the casino at 5am but was advised to stay as Jho Low usually distributed gambling chips by the end of the night.

The report added that Kim ended up winning RM1,567,475 (US$350,000) but her security guard advised her to return the money as she did not gamble with her own money.

"When Kim tried to return the chip, Jho Low told Kim that the chip was hers to keep," the FBI report stated.

When Kim exchanged the chips for money, she received about RM1.1 million (US$250,000) in the form of RM447 (US$100) notes stuffed in a garbage bag.

Kim then asked a letter from Jho Low to prove that she received the money as a gift.

When Kim attended the second gambling session with Jho Low, she received the balance of approximately RM447,614 (US$100,000). The money was also given in a garbage bag.

Previously, Sinar reported that two Hollywood celebrities namely Leonardo DiCaprio and Kim were interrogated by United States' Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Justice (DoJ) over the embezzlement of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) funds.
