National Pair miss out on 10m air rifle bronze in Jakarta

KUALA LUMPUR - National shooting duo, Haritz Iklil Hessly Hafiz and Alia Husna Budruddin missed out on the bronze medal in the mixed 10 metres (m) air rifle event at the 2023 Asian Rifle/Pistol Shooting Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia today.

According to the tournament's website issf-sports.org, Haritz Iklil, 23, and Alia Husna, 22, recorded only six points compared to the Filipino pair of Jayson Valdez-Amparo Teresa Acuna who scored 16 points in the bronze medal match match 1.

The bronze medal match 2 went to Kuwaiti pair, Ali Al Mutairi-Maryam Arzouqi.

In the final, the home shooting duo of Izzudin Afif-Audrey Zahra Dhiyaanisa took the gold while Yang Hwa Gyeong-Choo Byounggil from South Korea grabbed the silver medal.

The 2023 Asian Rifle/Pistol Shooting Cup runs until this Friday (March 10).- BERNAMA
