SHAH ALAM - Independent preacher Wadi Annuar’s lectures in Selangor slated to take place on March 10 and 11 have been cancelled.

The lectures were scheduled to be held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque, here and at Padang Astaka Tanjung Karang, Selangor.

However, Wadi who informed the matter through a Facebook post did not disclose the reason behind the cancellation.

In his post, he said his lectures in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will be held as usual.

“Please be informed that all lectures by religious preacher Wadi Annuar in Selangor have been cancelled.

“The lectures in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will be held as scheduled.

“Any inconvenience is deeply regretted. May Allah SWT reward all those who intended to join the lecture,” he wrote.

Previously, the cancellation of popular independent preacher Azhar Idrus’ lecture received attention from the public when the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) stated that the cancellation of the event was due to the former not having certification to teach Islam in Selangor.
