SHAH ALAM - Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin urged her husband Mohd Syamsul Mohd Yusof to let leave the marriage on good terms.

Sarah told the media she no longer saw a future in their marriage.

"He (Syamsul) said there are still hopes. But when I was in the hospital recently and he did not even bother to visit, what kind of hope is that? "I don’t know why he would act that way. I was shocked that after a year of not meeting or talking to him, he had even blocked my number (he has decided not to divorce). In fact, we have met after so long today.

"I pray for their (Syamsul and his new wife's) happiness. I am not angry; just let me go. He has remarried," she said.

The couple’s domestic crisis has yet to come to an end after the Shariah Lower Court today ordered their case to be referred to the Conciliation Authority (JKP).

Shariah judge Akmalludin Ilyas decided Syamsul, 39, and Sarah, 38, would appoint their own representatives in the JKP.

Sarah filed the divorce application on Jan 16 at the Kuala Lumpur Sharia Court registration counter through Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law (Federal Territory) Act 1984. - Awani
