SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has informed the media that a case in which two company directors were supposed to be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow has been cancelled.

In an update to media members via WhatsApp, the MACC apologised for the last-minute cancellation but did not provide further information.

This case was said to be related to the Jana Wibawa scandal and government expenditure under the Covid-19 stimulus package.

Earlier, former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin confirmed that he has been summoned to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya for questioning at 11am tomorrow.

He also refuted reports of his arrest at a golf course in the Klang Valley today, branding them as fake news.

"I would like to clarify that the news of my arrest at the golf course today, which was spread by a news portal, is false.

"Today I attended several meetings related to the Bersatu annual general meeting (PAT), which will start this Friday," the Pagoh member of Parliament said on Twitter.
