SHAH ALAM - Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice president Nik Nazmi Ahmad claims that the Pas leadership now is different from how Pas was during Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat's era.

He said Pas now is more active in using religious and racial sentiments to trigger hatred in the community.

"They talk about clean and stable politics as if they are holy themselves, when in reality they are full of slander and insults.

"We reject hatred and this kind of politics has no place in this country," he said during the closing speech of PKR Special National Congress at Malawati Stadium today.

The congress themed "Malaysia Madani, Pelaksanaan Sebuah Idealisme” was officiated by the party's president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In the meantime, Nik Nazmi said he felt that Kelantan and Terengganu should have better administrations by now.

However, he stated that if the party alongside coalition components from Pakatan Harapan (PH) failed to claim these two states, then they will do their best as the opposition.

He said the issue of clean water supply that has been plaguing Kelantan will be resolved as soon as possible.
