KUALA LUMPUR - Pahang Umno chief Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail is still leading the race for the vice-president post in today's Umno polls.

As of 6.30pm, he is ahead of seven other challengers in the party election competition with 16 votes.

He is followed by Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani with 13 and nine votes, respectively.

Sole woman candidate Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said is currently at fourth place with seven votes.

The competition for positions in the Umno Election for the term 2023-2026 began after the candidate registration period was officially closed on Feb 26.

Umno elections ends today with the contests of three vice president posts and 25 supreme council seats.
