Selangor International Business Summit Returns
The Selangor International Business Summit 2023 (SIBS 2023), initiated by the Selangor State Government and organised by Invest Selangor Bhd will be back, pack with more for the seventh year.
This year, SIBS 2023 will continue its role as the regional premier summit for local and international industry players to convene and explore the great potential of the Malaysian and regional markets.
Themed “Selangor, Gateway to ASEAN”, SIBS 2023 targets RM1.5 billion of potential negotiated sales with the participation from a total of 1050 booths.
The summit will be taking up the entire 8 expo halls and 2 conference halls in KL Convention Centre and anticipates at least 50,000 trade visitors returning to the Summit.
This four-day summit will be held on Oct 19 to 22, 2023 and will feature a total of six unique concurrent events, bringing into the limelight the broad range of business and investment opportunities available. They comprise of:
The 9th Selangor International Expo (F&B), will be organised in Exhibition Halls 6 - 8, with a projection of 349 exhibition stalls. SIE (F&B), is expected to attract more food industry operators and food supply chains from home and abroad.
The 9th Selangor International Expo (Medic), to be organised in the Grand Ballroom 1 & 2 will provide a total of 115 exhibition booths.
The 3rd Selangor Industrial Park Expo (SPARK 2023), will showcase industrial park operators and developers from Malaysia and the region. SPARK 2023 will be organised in Exhibition Halls 4 & 5, and a total of 224 exhibition booths have been prepared.
The 7th Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC 2023) is a two- day event and will feature 700 attendees from both local and international including some notable speakers from the region.
The first day of SABC 2023 will take place at the Plenary Hall and for the second day, there will be two tracks running concurrently: the Investment Track and the Smart City Track to be held at the Banquet Hall and Plenary Theatre respectively.
The theme for this year's SABC is "Selangor Epicentre of ASEAN: Leveraging Diversity, Catalysing Opportunity, Creating Prosperity."
The 8th Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention (SDEC 2023) will be organised by Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy (SIDEC) Corporation in Exhibition Hall 1 & 2 offering 274 exhibition booths.
SDEC 2023 will also feature several forums and side programs, including the Malaysia Top E-Merchant Awards, which will attract more industry players, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The 4th Selangor R&D And Innovation Expo (SRIE 2023) this year, will be organised by Yayasan Selangor. This exhibition will house a total of 88 exhibition booths in Conference Halls 1 - 3, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
On top of these main programs, SIBS 2023 will also feature three other parallel events:
The Selangor International Culinary Festival (SICF), jointly organised by the Malaysian Professional Culinaire Association (PCA), will be participated by a total of 200 professional chefs and culinary students from local colleges and universities. The Selangor International Culinary Festival will take place at Exhibition Hall 8C.
The Selangor International Healthcare Conference (SIHC) which will be held from 20-21 October 2023, will feature a panel of international speakers from the healthcare and pharmaceuticals industries. A total of 250 participants will attend this two-day conference.
Selangor International Business Summit Invitational Golf Tournament 2023 will be held on 21 October 2023 and played by 120 players from SIBS conference, exhibition and international participants together with senior officials of the Selangor State Government and subsidiaries of the Selangor State Government.
The Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) has been actively promoting its upcoming event through various channels to reach a wider audience.
