Tabung Haji suspends Emraz Travel & Tours' haj operator licence

KUALA LUMPUR - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has suspended the licence of haj pilgrim operator (PJH) Emraz Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd.

In a statement today, it said that the suspension was an initial measure to protect the welfare of pilgrims.

"This decision was taken following several public complaints regarding umrah services provided by the company.

"Pilgrims who want to perform haj through a private package could still do so by choosing from another 22 licensed PJH companies, including TH subsidiaries which is TH Travel & Services Sdn Bhd," it said.

TH also pointed out that it frequently monitored the performance of licensed PJH companies including services provided for umrah.

"TH will not hesitate to take action against any party for the sake of guaranteeing the welfare of the pilgrims," it added.

Emraz Travel & Tours was among the 23 PJH appointed by TH for haj season this year by offering three options for haj packages namely Silver, Gold and Platinum with prices as low as RM49,990 and up to RM109,990.
