IPOH - The Rumah Ngaji Teluk Muroh community will collaborate with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) for the "Jiwa Murni Bersama Asnaf" programme on April 11 ahead of the World #QuranHour programme.

Its community administrator Datin Maziah Rafie said this was a new collaborative effort to further expand the role of Rumah Ngaji to the community.

She said through the programme, donations would be handed to the asnaf group (zakat recipients) and those in need to reduce their burdens.

"This is the first time the programme is held together with RMN and on behalf of Rumah Ngaji, we are very pleased when they wanted to join us in making the programme a success.

"A session of Quran recitation and tadabur will also be included during the programme before the ceremony to hand over the donations as well as iftar with Rumah Ngaji and RMN members," she told Sinar Harian, today.

Maziah said Rumah Ngaji will donate food boxes to about 50 people around the Rumah Ngaji Teluk Muroh community and Panji-Panji Al-Insan holders.

She said the programme was also held in collaboration with the Drug Rehabilitation Committee (JKPD) of Manjung National Anti-Drugs Agency (Nada) and Teluk Muroh Communication for Behaviourial Impact (Combi) as well Manjung Municipal Council member Abdul Razak Nazri.

She said those who wished to contribute were welcomed to do so to help those in need.

To join the programme, contact 019-5774793, she added.
