Rafizi, Nor Azmie appointed as members of Yayasan Peneraju's board of trustees

KUALA LUMPUR - Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (Yayasan Peneraju) has appointed Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli as a member of its board of trustees.

It also appointed the ministry’s secretary general Datuk Nor Azmie Diron as a member of the board of trustees.

Nor Azmie was the director general of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) prior to his current appointment at the Economy Ministry. The Yayasan Peneraju board of trustees members are all appointed on pro-bono basis.

The appointment took effect from March 27, 2023, it said in a statement today.

"Yayasan Peneraju welcomes the new appointments to its board of trustees and will work with their stewardship towards taking Yayasan Peneraju forward.

"Together, as a data-driven organisation, we will strive towards designing and offering more industry-driven programmes in order to increase the youths’ employability with the right skillsets, with our ‘place and train’ method and ultimately boost the nation’s economy,” said its chief executive officer Mohd Muzzammil Ismail.

Yayasan Peneraju is a government agency under the Economy Ministry, established in 2012 to focus on strengthening capacity building towards the sustainability of Bumiputera talents.

This is in line with the government's efforts to drive Malaysia towards a high-income nation through structured academic, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), professional, technology and specialist funding programmes.
