'Hamzah, Muhyiddin, Hadi 'disappeared' seven consecutive times from Dewan Rakyat'

KUALA LUMPUR - The Prime Minister's question-and-answer session at the Dewan Rakyat today saw several leaders from the opposition bloc missing again.

Opposition leaders Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (PN - Pagoh) and Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang (PN - Marang) were all absent from today's session.

The Communication and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil in a tweet that two Deputy Prime Ministers, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof were present during the session but that the top opposition leaders were nowhere to be found.

"Unfortunately, the opposition leaders Hamzah, Muhyiddin and Abdul Hadi were absent once again and didn't ask any questions.

"The Prime Minister's Questions (PMQ) time is held every Tuesday.

"It is the best time for the opposition to raise questions, confront, and ask the prime minister," he wrote.

The 'disappearance' of the three leaders also caught Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin's attention, who claimed they had gone missing seven times in a row.

"In the United Kingdom, the Pime Minister Question Time (PMQT) is a field for 'PM vs Opposition Leader'.

Gopeng MP Tan Kar Hing also criticised the three leaders' actions for always being absent during the sessions involving Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the Dewan Rakyat.

"Pagoh, Marang, and Larut still couldn't be seen in the hall when the Prime Minister started the PMQT session.

"So far, this trio has never faced and debated with the prime minister in the Dewan Rakyat," he said. - Awani
