Special Aidilfitri asistance for Pahang imam, bilal and siak

KUANTAN - The Pahang government today announced a special Aidilfitri assistance to all mosque imam, bilal and siak in the state, involving an allocation of RM640,200 which will benefit 2,711 recipients.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said he hoped that this financial assistance would help ease the burden of the recipients in preparing for Aidilfitri.

He said a total of 980 mosque imam will receive RM300 each, while 877 bilal and 854 siak will receive RM200 each, involving allocations of RM294,000, RM175,400 and RM170,800, respectively.

"In total, the state government has allocated RM13,597,100 for six categories, which will benefit 25,684 recipients," he said in a statement.

Yesterday, Wan Rosdy announced the Special Aidilfitri Assistance amounting to RM12.95 million for 22,973 recipients in five categories namely civil servants, orphans registered with the Welfare Department, government pensioners, and poor single mothers.

The assistance will also be given to Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) chairmen, deputy chairmen of the Settlement Development and Security Committee (JKKR), Orang Asli Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKOA) chairmen, Tok Batin (chieftains) and JPKK secretaries. - BERNAMA
