Anwar visits Raja of Perlis in hospital, recovering from successful surgery

Shah Alam - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail who is recovering from a surgery at Putrajaya Hospital.

​Anwar was accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

"This afternoon I visited the King of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, who has just had a surgery at Putrajaya Hospital.

"Praying for Tuanku Raja Perlis to be blessed with aafiyah (health), inshaAllah,", Anwar said on Facebook.

Earlier, Istana Arau said in a statement on April 2 that Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin was in stable condition throughout the almost seven hours surgery, which started at noon, without any complications.

"The Regent of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, expressed his gratitude to the people, especially in Perlis, as well as all relatives and friends who have all prayed to Allah to grant good health and a speedy recovery to the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail," said Istana Arau.

It said that Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also expressed his highest appreciation to Putrajaya Hospital staff, including specialists and other health personnel, as well as other parties involved in ensuring the Perlis ruler's treatment and surgery went smoothly.
