Bung Moktar, Rahman Dahlan 'compatibility' needed to develop Sabah, says Zahid

PAPAR - Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and his deputy Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan need to create harmony in the new Sabah Umno leadership.

Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the two Sabah Umno leaders have shown good performance at the federal level.

"Compatibility must be established so that we can balance and provide new optics and narratives.

"Hopefully both of them can communicate well to develop Sabah and to create a stable political situation in the state," he said when attending the Sabah Rural and Regional Development Ministry 'Santunan Kasih Ramadan' event at Masjid Kampung Benoni yesterday.

He said this when asked on the compatability between two leaders to lead Sabah Umno in the party's new leadership after the recent election.

When asked about the establishment of unity government secretariat at Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister said Datuk Yakub Khan is looking into the matter.
