Former Perlis MB to be charged for corruption on Monday

KANGAR - Former Menteri Besar Perlis with the "Datuk Seri" title will be charged by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at the Sessions Court, here on Monday.
Based on the media invitation sent by the MACC to cover the case involving "a former menteri besar" in the nation’s smallest state, the former leader is expected to be charged at 8.30am.
MACC did not reveal the identity of the said individual.
"The MACC had received permission to prosecute a former MB," said the anti-graft agency in the invitation letter today.
It was understood that the charges against the politician related to the offence of submitting or validating a document containing false information.
