KUALA LUMPUR - Warisan Ummah Ikhlas foundation has chosen to make surah Al-Insan the main surah for all the #QuranHour programmes that will be conducted throughout this year.

Its chief executive officer, Marhaini Yusoff, said the surah was chosen based on its content which covers different angles of the programmes that will be held,

"Surah Al-Insan will be presented at several big moments in starting with the World Quran Hour followed by the Arafah Quran Hour scheduled for the 9th of Zulhijjah.

"Next is the Malaysia Quran Hour on August 30th , and the World Quran Convention which will be held on December 1st and 2nd," she t members of the media at the World Quran Hour held at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) today.

Surah Al- Insan has been chosen as it goes well with the theme of the programme which is humanising the Ummah.

The surah also touches on bringing our family to Jannah ( heaven) and our efforts in reaching this goal, two important points that need to aligned within each and every Muslim.

The programme, which was attended by about 6,000 people, was also graced by the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah who arrived at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque, IIUM at 11.45 am.

This is the second appearance of Her Majesty, who attended the programme for the first time at Studio TV AlHijrah, on April 26 last year.
