Sanusi said it was just a small matter and he was not discouraged at all after n invitation was sent to the Kedah Chief Minister's Office.
According to him, invitations should be made if it involves official affairs or programmes related to administration.
"I'm not discouraged, at the same time I have to attend other programmes that were planned earlier," he said at a press conference after the handing over ceremony of winning incentives for the Malaysian Games (SUKMA) Kedah athletes at the Kedah Youth and Sports Complex here on Thursday evening.
Most recently, Sanusi who is also the Kedah Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman did not receive an invitation to the iftar ceremony organised by the Home Ministry at the Police Training School in Sungai Petani on Friday.
The programme was attended by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
It was reported earlier that Sanusi including the state government Exco's were also not invited to attend the programme organized by the Information Ministry in Kedah.
Last March, Sanusi informed that there was a written directive from the Cabinet that prohibited his presence in any event organized by the Federal government, including the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2023 (LIMA'23) which would ne held from 23rd to 27th May.
Sanusi who is also the Jeneri state assemblyman said that he was not informed about Anwar's presence in Kedah to make the iftar program a success.
"I didn't even know he (Anwar) would be in Kedah. They (KDN) didn't invite (me), it's okay, if I am not not there.
"After all, it's just a ceremony to break fast, not an official government event. Although breaking the fast is obligatory, invitations to the state government are considered non- obligatory only, it is okay not to be invited," he said.
Anwar is scheduled to have a working visit to Penang and Kedah on Friday, during which six programs will be held in Penang while one iftar program will be held in Kedah.
