SHAH ALAM - Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) vice president Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa has insisted that he would go ahead with his lawsuit against Pas.

It was reported that Pas had accused Mujahid of supporting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

He described the party as never getting tired of throwing random accusations about him to fulfill their political interest.

"They accused me of supporting LGBT so I sue them for it but they asked me to withdraw it. When they sued me for the alleged Tabung Haji hotel sale, I went to court and it was proven as defamation.

"That's how Muslim Malays are, they deceive voters in the name of defending Muslim Malays. We will answer in court later," he said in a Twitter post on Thursday.

On the same day, Pas had filed a notice to apply for withdrawal of the defamation lawsuit filed by Mujahid regarding the matter.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan represented the party as the defendant filing the applicationthrough Messrs.Tengku Amalin & Faizi at the High Court on Feb 15.

According to the notice, the application was made because Mujahid, who is also a former Ministers in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), as the plaintiff failed to disclose any reasonable cause of action against the defendant.
