SEREMBAN - Failure to display price tags is among the highest offences recorded by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) in Negeri Sembilan since early January.

Its director, Muhammad Zahir Mazlan said more than 100 compounds totalling RM16,400 have been issued to the traders involved.

"To date, the highest case recorded by us is the failure to display the price tags and the traders are instantly compounded RM200.”

He said this to reporters after launching the state-level Hari Raya Puasa Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMMP) at Mydin Hypermarket Seremban 2 which was also attended by State Health, Environment, Cooperatives and Consumerism Committee chairman S. Veerapan.

Muhammad Zahir also said that they had yet to receive any complaint about the rising prices of goods or lack of supply in the state.
