The advertisement which was filmed in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya festivities was made by the Prime Minister's Department (JPM) in collaboration with the Communications and Digital Ministry (KKD).
The two minutes and 36 seconds video clip opens with the initial process of how the lemang is made and goes on to show that although it is a traditional food of the Malay community, its uniqueness, which consists of various ingredients, is symbolic of the national unity made up of various races.
Thus, taking the essence of the philosophy found in 'lemang', Anwar clad in a light blue Baju Melayu is seen urging all Malaysians to unite and develop Malaysia.
"Let's strengthen the unity of the Malaysian people, develop and save the country while raising the dignity of our families and society,"
At the end of the video, Anwar then wishes all Malaysians a happy Hari Raya
