Man dies after being flung out of vehicle in Gua Musang accident

GUA MUSANG - A man died after being flung out of a four-wheel drive vehicle when it lost control and crashed into a another four-wheel drive vehicle in an accident at KM63 in Jalan Gua Musang - Lojing here on Friday.

The driver, farmer Ruban Arumugan, 25, succumbed to his injuries in the incident at 8.15pm.

A male passenger in his 20s sustained light injuries.

Gua Musang district police chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said the victim was driving on the left lane from Gua Musang heading to Lojing when he lost control of the vehicle.

“A Toyota Hilux on the right lane into the the Isuzu which lost control.

“The crash caused Ruban to be tossed out of his vehicle and die at the scene,” he said in a press conference here, today.

He said the Toyota Hilux driver who was a 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old passenger sustained light injuries and were receiving treatments at the Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Cameron Highlands Hospital.

“Ruban’s body was brought to the Gua Musang Hospital’s forensic unit for an autopsy.

The case is investigated under Section 41(1) of the APJ 1987 for driving recklessly causing death.
