SHAH ALAM - Selangor Pas has remained silent over the speculation that former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim will contest in the Selangor state election that is expected to be held in June.

Selangor Pas Youth chief Mohamed Sukri Omar said the party had no information and was not informed about it.

However, he said Pas was open to accepting reliable and competent leaders to run as Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates in their mission to conquer Selangor.

"Pas has already prepared qualified candidates to compete against the PH-BN coalition.

"Pas Selangor was not informed that Khairy and Shahidan would contest in Selangor but Pas is open and welcome any party to help PN win in Selangor," he said briefly today.

He said this when asked to comment on the legitimacy of the two big names competing in Selangor under PN.

Previously, Shahidan had expressed his willingness to compete in Selangor to help PN snatch the state.

PN aimed to conquer three states namely Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang.
