KUALA LUMPUR - A four-year-old girl died after falling from the 11th floor of the USJ Police Quarters 8, Subang Jaya, on Friday.

Subang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said police received a report about the incident at 11.35am.

"According to his mother, before the incident, she was in the kitchen while her two children were playing in the living room.

"However, after that, she heard the sound of the middle room door closing loudly and tried to open the door, but failed because the door was locked," he said in a statement.

Wan Azlan said the victim's mother then heard her son's voice asking for help before she went to the next room and when she looked out the window she found that her son had fallen down.

He further said health workers confirmed that the victim died at the scene of the incident and the child's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Department of Serdang Hospital for an autopsy.

"Further investigation at the scene found that there were no elements of crime and the case was classified as sudden death," he said.

Wan Azlan said the victim was the first child of two siblings and his parents were policemen who lived in the residence.
