KOTA BHARU - The Pas Central 69th Annual Muktamar (assembly) that was scheduled to take place from May 3 to 5 in Kelantan has been postponed in preparation for the upcoming state elections.

Pas Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the muktamar is now expected to be held in August or September.

“Last year, it was held in September.

“Even if it was done in October, it wouldn't be considered late.,” he told reporters when met at the Kota Bharu Pas and Parliament Raya Open House at the Kota Bharu Municipal Council, here, today.

He said the annual general meetings and their selection had taken place in 197 areas throughout the country. However, at the central level, including the Ulama, Youth, Muslimat, and Pas Central, the selection have not been held yet.

Takiyuddin said as of now he has yet to see any changes in the grassroot support, attributing this to the current leadership that is still being accepted.
