SHAH ALAM - Umno Supreme Council member Isham Jalil has slammed former Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omar for claiming that the party is now only left with apple polishers.

In a Facebook post, Isham reminded Noh that he was a bootlicker in Umno and should not forget the fact that the party has done a lot for him.

Isham also claimed Noh was willing to excessively "kiss up" to gain a ministerial position while in Umno.

"As far as I know, Noh Omar is the bootlicker," he claimed.

"I remember when he wanted to become a minister, he was kissing up to (former) prime minister Najib, and he even tried to kiss up to me when I was working in the Prime Minister's Office," Isham claimed.

He further reminded the former Tanjong Karang MP that it was Umno that made him the MP and a minister.

"Now, just a few months after being expelled from Umno, he has started to criticise and insult Umno as if he had forgotten his roots.

"This is only because he wants to contest the (state) elections against Umno," Isham added.

On Tuesday, Noh claimed that Umno is now only supported by "kaki bodek" or bootlickers who won in the recent party election.
