SHAH ALAM - "We apologise for not being able to raise Muhammad Arif due to economic reasons," said the parents of a baby left at the gate of a mosque recently.

Through a video shared on the TikTok account @boboy9077, a baby was left at the gate of the mosque with a note attached to the baby for anyone who finds him.

The note read: "We apologise for not being able to raise Muhammad Arif due to economic reasons. We request that anyone who can and is willing to raise him, we would be very grateful."

The baby was fully dressed with a blanket, wet wipes, and milk.

Meanwhile, social media users expressed their views and sympathy for the baby.

"Your mother and father didn't abandon you, but they want the best for you, dear. May you continue to serve your parents," commented a TikTok user, Roziah abd Razak.

"Only God knows, perhaps the pressure of the tough economic situation, but we forget that this little child will bring blessings to us," commented a TikTok user named MecLisandra_Official.

"We don't know what else the baby's parents are going through but from what I can see, the baby is clean. There's even milk. The main reason is the economic factor," said a TikTok user named Rodziahzaharin7798.
