State Elections: Tok Mat to determine seat distribution in Kelantan, Terengganu

KUALA LUMPUR - The seat allocations for the state elections in Kelantan and Terengganu will fall on the shoulders of Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan, Umno president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi said today,

Zahid said he trusts Mohamed Hasan's wisdom in carrying out the negotiations for the seat allocations and that he would make good decisions.

“I leave the consultation for the seat allocations to my deputy, and the BN deputy chairman to decide, I am sure their wisdom in such matters will be translated well.

“We will listen to the views given by them,” he said in a press conference after the 77th Umno Anniversary Celebrations at the Ar Rahman Surau, Menara Dato Onn World Trade Centre (WTC) on Thursday.

In the 14th general election (GE14) Pakatan Harapan (PH) failed to gain enough state seats in Kelantan and Terengganu.

BN won eight out of 45 state seats in Kelantan and 10 of 32 seats in Terengganu.
