Also seen present at the 'meeting' were Nik Mohamad Abduh's brother Nik Omar, independent preacher Wan Ji Wan Wan Hussin and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The viral photo is believed to have been shot at a location in Kelantan as Anwar was in the state to attend the Madani Malaysia Open House.
Various speculations have been rife as the pictures circulated online. In the 15th General Election (GE15) last year, Pas dropped Nik Mohd Abduh as the party's candidate and the previously contested seat was given to Muhamad Shahir Che Sulaiman.
Meanwhile Nik Mohamad Abduh and Nik Omar were previously seen as not 'of the same mind' following both of the brothers choosing different political paths.
Nik Omar previously caused uneasiness among PAS leaders after joining Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).
