MELAKA - The Education Ministry will announce several good news for teachers in conjunction with Teachers Day on Tuesday.

Its minister Fadhlina Sidek said the matter would be announced to uplift teachers who have served well in shaping students who are benefit to society.

She said it would be announced in conjunction with the National Teachers Day celebration at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) Hall with the theme 'Teachers the Catalyst of the Madani Generation' which will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"We don't have to wait for Yang Amat Berhormat Prime Minister, the education ministry will announce it.

"Tomorrow we will announce it there are several things I think is important to uplift our teachers and the overall ecosystem of our nation," she said.

She told reporters after presenting awards at the 2023 McDonald's Inspirational Awards Ceremony (AGI) at the MITC Hall in Ayer Keroh here on Monday.

Also present was Malaysia McDonald's Managing Director and Local Operations Partner Datuk Azmir Jaafar.

The Nibong Tebal MP said the awards presented by McDonald's was a preliminary event to the Teachers Day celebrations and its culminating event will be celebrated wit the Prime Minister on Tuesday.

The 2023 Teachers Day Celebrations have begun from Sunday with several activities including a teachers convoy with high powered motorcycles.
